Why We Started

Wing Tuition was created to focus on the expanding need for private tuition services. With more primary and secondary schools in London offering Mandarin as a subject, as well as a growing interest and usage in the language, our aim is to support students, and build an environment for more children to happily learn Mandarin and achieve their learning goals.
In our ever-changing world, language can help children expand their awareness, and more importantly their future prospects.
Learning is a journey of growth and we hope to create a joyful and memorable experience.

Our Philosophy

Wing Tuition, based in London, is a leading provider of private tuition, working with families and individuals from across the UK and overseas. Our honest and friendly approach has helped children discover the joy of learning Mandarin and achieve academic success.

We take time to get to know our students, their personalities, and their strengths and weaknesses. We utilize fun and active teaching techniques to allow our young students to be immersed in a happy learning environment.

We understand not all students are the same, and receptive to the same learning techniques, so we carefully place the teacher we feel will be most suitable for their age and learning style.

We aim to do more than simply help children pass exams, we strive to create a positive association with Mandarin and academic excellence. We want our students to be interested in not only the language, but the culture, and our aim is to kindle a motivated and passionate learner.

For our youngest students (3-4), we invite them to grow and learn Mandarin with us through rhymes, songs, role-playing, body movements, games, and storytelling. Using our beginner materials (Living Mandarin) as our framework for sessions.

For those new to Mandarin (3-11), the featured themes in our curriculum and activities are structured and designed based on the children’s daily and social experiences. Relatable topics such as food, health, sports, weather, family, hobbies & interests. We use a mixture of materials (Hello Huayu, and CME for Kids) as a base for our teacher's lesson plans.

For students pursuing exams (11-16), we narrow down our focus to specific topics from their chosen exam board's curriculum and develop the grammar, vocabulary, and exam techniques that will best serve them. Materials include but are not limited to the Jinbu book series, iChinese 1 & 2, Edexcel student book, HSK vocabulary lists.
